PureFinish · Microcement & beton ciré
Microcement and beton ciré for bathrooms, floors and walls
Microcement, also called beton ciré or microtopping, is a layer a few millimetres thick applied to floors, walls and furniture. The result is a continuous concrete look without joints, even in the shower.

Microcement in the bathroom
Without joints, dirt has nowhere to sit. We apply microcement to walls, floor, shower and even a made-to-measure washbasin unit or bath panel.
In the shower, waterproofing goes on first, then the microcement layers and a protective sealer.
- Walls, floor and walk-in shower without joints
- Made-to-measure basins and bath panels
- Waterproofing in the shower area
- Matt or satin protective sealer
Floors, stairs and terraces
On a floor, microcement gives a continuous concrete look from room to room. It can often go over existing, stable tiles.
Outside we use a system for terraces and stairs that resists frost and UV.
Colours and finish
From warm grey to sand and anthracite, every layer is trowelled by hand, giving each surface its own texture. We make a sample first.

Frequently asked questions
Microcement, beton ciré, microtopping: what is the difference?
In practice the same thing: a thin decorative cement-based layer with a concrete look. Names vary by brand.
Can microcement go over tiles?
Often yes, if the tiles are firmly fixed. Joints are levelled first and a bonding coat applied.
Is microcement waterproof in the shower?
The sealer makes it water-resistant. In the shower we first install separate waterproofing.
How much does microcement cost per m²?
It depends on the surface, the area and details such as niches. After a visit you get a quote.
